We take great pride in the skills our students gain at CATR, but the true value of learning to ride and care for a horse is seen in our students’ lives each day. Kimberly gained the confidence she needed to learn to ride a bike, a boy on the autism spectrum suddenly has a hobby he wants to share, and a young girl builds the strength and coordination to take her first steps.
In the year ahead, our team is striving to make a bigger impact by providing more therapeutic riding lessons to children and adults with disabilities. Jenny and Michael Messner of The Speedwell Foundation have given us an incredible opportunity to leverage your support. For the month of June, The Speedwell Foundation will match any and all donations up to $50,000. $100,000 will provide 1,000 hours of equine assisted activities to students ranging from a child with a rare genetic disorder to an adult recovering from a stroke or to a wounded military veteran.
